Easy peasy bow tie pasta
Ingredients
1 oz Box Bow tie pasta
1 oz jar of Alfredo sauce
1 bag of frozen sweet peas
1 tpsn of oregano
1 Tbsn of olive oil
1 tspn of crushed red pepper flakes
2 Tbsn butter, or margarine
1/2 tspn of salt
1/2 tpsn of ground pepper, last
Procedure
Cook the box of bow tie pasta according to the box instructions.
In a medium sauce pan pour the Alfredo sauce, and all of the seasonings except the ground pepper, stir and continue to let the sauce cook for 5 minutes.
In a pot boil the peas using the bags instructions or until tender.
Add the peas to the sauce, stir them in to coat them.
Drain the pasta, put it in a large bowl and coat with the olive oil, this prevents the starches from making the pasta stick together and dry out.
Pour the peas and sauce over the pasta and fold it all together.
Finish with the ground pepper and adjust taste with added salt if needed.
